Easy Drop Biscuts
This is my go to easy biscuit recipe when we have nothing in the house for breakfast and we don't feel like walking the 20 feet down the street to go to the overpriced coffee shop.
Also... you can add anything to them! like rosemary, Herbs de Provence...maybe even CHEDDAR.
Recipe found here! http://www.cooks.com/recipe/v42rk4cm/never-fail-baking-powder-biscuits.html
2 c. sifted all purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. milk (about)
Sift together flour, baking powder, salt into bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse meal or crumbs. Stir in enough milk to make a soft dough that leaves the side of the bowl and sticks to the mixing fork.
Take enough batter for one biscuit, knead with hands and place into a pan. Continue until all the batter is gone. If you want soft sides on the biscuits, place the biscuits close together. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
